GMI operates under very high standards and holds the following Certifications & Registrations.
In addition to GMI’s current certifications - ISO 9001, 14001 and the medical-related 13485 - GMI has qualified for two new standards: ISO 80079-34 and IPC Validation Services.
The ISO 80079-34 standard relates to products used in potentially explosive atmospheres. Products must pass rigorous testing to ensure that they are protected and will not explode in a hazardous environment.
GMI staff always keeps in mind that the assemblies that fall under this standard are designed to protect people and equipment working in explosive environments, and lives depend on the performance of them.
General Microcircuits has developed a reputation for high quality products and customer satisfaction. Our quality management systems and internal processes reflect our company commitment to meet or exceed customer expectations in each and every project.
IPC's Validation Services Program has awarded an IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 Qualified Manufacturers Listing (QML) to GMI. To earn this, the manufacturer successfully completed an intensive audit based on two of IPC's foremost standards: IPC J-STD-001, Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies and IPC-A-610, Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies.
GMI met or exceeded the electronics industry’s Class 2 testing requirements, which is intended for high-performance electronics assemblies. As a result, the company is now listed as an IPC-trusted source capable of manufacturing in accordance with industry best practices.
