GMI carries an inventory of raw materials, components, subassemblies and finished product. For predictable programs, GMI offers KanBan and Leadtime Reduction Programs. Within GMI, the largest component distributor maintains an In-Plant Store and other major distributors’ agree to stage Bonded Inventory to support GMI’s responsiveness. In times of component allocation, it is important to partner with GMI, who understands how to maneuver during these rough periods. GMI doesn’t accept a world of extended lead-times for components. GMI aggressively seeks alternatives to provide its customers a safe harbor from disruptive supply flow.
