Cost-Price

Too many companies emphasize price over cost. Total “supplied cost” is significantly different than a product’s unit price. GMI is uniquely qualified to determine a product’s real cost. Having sourced and produced product domestically as well as in various low-cost geographies around the world, GMI knows how a change in forecast or in circuit design, a shift in political climate, or a simple miscommunication can inflate the overall cost of a product.

Sometimes hard to measure, but significantly important to the bottom line are the cost of expedited shipments, the frustrations of late deliveries, the rework costs of poor quality, the complications created due to miscommunication, and the result of using “lowest-priced” component sources who inconsistently provide subpar solutions. GMI’s experience brings its customers a safety net against the near catastrophic stories we all hear about while chasing after that last dime to be saved or in dealing with a different culture that seems to always nod in approval.
